Recent Changes

We love making new friends at Spencer! The wiki pages that you can connect to on this page are from other 2nd grade classrooms! We are not able to travel, but we sure would love to learn about places outside of Chicago. The pages of our friends give us insight about different places so that we can learn even more!

I have been teaching for 8 years total, and this is my 3rd year at Spencer Technology Academy on the West Side of Chicago. I have been in all grades Pre-K through 3 over the years, and I am currently teaching 2nd grade.
I graduated from Illinois State University with my Batchelor in Science in Education, and in May I will receive my Masters in Education focusing on Reading! Again....I am very excited about this accomplishment! This is going to be a great year for me!

I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated where I actively participate in community service. I also participate in Relay For Life which is an annual event to raise money for Cancer Awareness.
Other than that, I love to read, write poetry and have lots of fun especially with my nieces...one of whom is below!

Hmmmm...where do I begin?
is April 18!18 which falls on report card pick up this year! I am excited, even if I am turning 33 years old!
